THE day started a little bleakly but turned into a beautiful Autumn day.

It was great to see four ladies in the 27-28 that turned out for the competition. Good to see Chrissy and Carol up from the coast and Alicia who is playing again after a few injury problems. It was a standard stableford event which was won by Geoff Errey with 38 points. Geoff’s scores over the past few weeks are impressive and the handicapper has certainly been interested. In second place on his own (no count back) was Ash Healy only one point behind. Gary Lobenwein and Bob Collyer tied for third on 36 points, however on the dreaded count back third went to Bob.

Today’s ladies event was won by Alicia English, who also won the nearest to the pin on 3/12, her playing partner today was Bob Collyer who was upset at being continually out driven.

The other nearest to the pins were Warrick Howarth on 1/10, Graham Murray on 5/14 and Kelvin Groves with his second shot on 6/15. It was also good to see John Reynolds back having a hit, hope your shoulder held up all right, mate. John also won the first of the two weekly draws with Greg Taylor winning the other.

There was no winner in the members draw which jackpots to $100 next week which is the Malanda RSL, Mungalli Dairy and Millaa Millaa Hotel monthly medal, 9 for 9:30, everyone see you there. RAVENSHOE
