On BLM protests

-

Who would have thought the coronavirus “pandemic” would be revealed as fake by the political left themselves. 30,000 left-wingers ignored their side’s panic over a seasonal flu in Brisbane on Saturday. There’s now no doubt that all the economic damage inflicted on us by the Brisbane government was completely unjustified.

It is incredibly cringeworthy that the organisers of the Cairns coven of the US BLM sect of the loony left are from New Guinea and the USA (CP, 06/06). We fixed issues with black deaths in custody years ago. Trying to incite racial division in FNQ over something a democrat city’s police did is rank opportunism and very, very un-Australian.

Karen, Kanimbla

It’s all became farcical with thousands being allowed to rub shoulders at mass demonstrations yet we’re still having to drastically limit numbers at restaurants and the like.

Mark, Edmonton

There is a simple solution to deaths in custody. Don’t do the crime and you won’t be in custody.

Seems like the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Courts are now able to run the country. Of late l think they have made some seriously doubtful decisions. Ray, Ravenshoe

Well, it’s over - COVID-19 is no more. We know this because “social justice” is now more important than “social distancing”, as we saw over the weekend with the gullible left marching about a single death in custody 14,000km away. The COVID-19 lockdowns must end now, immediately, and every state and national leader must step down until a proper inquiry is held.

Ric, Brinsmead

I would like to see what happens if football supporters ignored the social distancing restrictions and just turned up anyway. Would the powers that be simply roll over as they have with the black lives matter protests which were banned by the courts.

Karl, Yorkeys Knob

I’m pleased to see that there was a Black Lives Matter protest in Cairns but puzzled that its main organisers were from the United States and Papua New Guinea. What about local indigenous elders? Were they even consulted? If they were, and I truly hope they were, why wasn’t this mentioned in your article? I was planning to attend for two important reasons: Black lives matter, these inequalities must be addressed and the prime minister told me not to go and that’s reason enough right there.
