Cape tavern to reopen

normal. Bamaga Enterprise­s Ltd, which operates the Tavern, has benefited from a $100,000 Indigenous Business Australian grant and loan as part of IBA’s COVID relief package.

The funding has assisted in covering fixed costs such as electricit­y to enable the reopening of the Tavern and the restaurant at Cape York Peninsula Lodge.

Travel to Bamaga and Cape York is still restricted to those within the Designated Area, essential services workers and residents.
