AT THE HEART OF RACING

-

In the outback, the sound of a farrier shoeing a horse is never far away, while heroes return to the winners’ stall to adoration in the River City and the Reef alike.

The gates crash back in anticipation in the Far North, while new life is never far away on the Darling Downs.

And at the heart of racing is the Queensland community.

Across the Sunshine State, our towns and cities are brought to life each year with racing serving as the highlight of their social calendar, showcasing the best in food, fashion and live entertainment.

From the apprentice riding trackwork at dawn to the stablehand rugging our animals when the nights get cold, more than 40,000 Queenslanders have racing running through their veins.

And each year, racing generates $1.5 billion to the Queensland economy, employing more than 11,500 people, who don’t just work in the industry but live it as a way of life.

With more than 600 community organisations or charities supported by racing clubs, our doors have now re-opened, and we hope to have you by our side.
