On COVID-19
Re: Hotel quarantine Premier Palaszczuk. To avoid Queenslanders lying on their border pass when returning home from interstate perhaps remove the cost for hotel quarantine or find an alternative. It would be less costly than the thousands of tests now being carried out.

If COVID-19 gets out of hand even further in states other than Victoria, is there a point in time when those who have suffered nothing financially have to have salaries slashed? Bazza, Mareeba
Lied to again. We were told football teams and families, plus staff, coming to Queensland would abide by strict rules, and there was no chance of COVID-19 breaches. Lie. Every other day there’s another breach, normally as some “celebrity or star” wants to update their social media with selfies. The terrible term “wag”, which is offensive and sexist in the extreme, is often tied to this foolishness. How about punishment for breaches including teams being sent home and individuals having serious periods on the sideline. Fines are irrelevant given the earnings of these players.

Locally made masks (CP 4/8) might look nice but do they serve any medical purpose? The virus measures 0.125 microns so masks need to be made of medical-grade filtration material, don’t they?

Inconsistent and illogical COVID rules are being used to fine businesses that are barely staying afloat (CP, 04/08). If this doesn’t convince you that governments have no idea whatsoever about how society makes money nothing will.

MGB (CP 4/8). You still berate Scott Morrison for referring to Victoria’s out of control COVID-19 crisis as a “Victorian wave” of the virus. Well, it’s gone well beyond a “wave” now. Victorian Premier,
