On COVID-19

Re: democracy/COVID-19. When you Align the two there’s not much difference is there? Democracy a minority rule the majority and the majority always suffers. Now when you look at COVID-19, a thoughtless minority hold the rest of the country to ransom and of course the majority suffers yet again. One would hope that these people could take a good look at themselves? But alas there is no known cure for self-absorbed stupidity. Icarus, Atherton

Trevor, Park Ridge (CP, 6/8). What do you mean we can’t legislate against stupidity? We have been doing it for years. Like wear a helmet when riding a bike; wear a seat belt when driving. These are just two examples from a long list.

Premier Palaszczuk (CP, 6/8) again shows she hasn’t the foggiest notion where money comes from or what drives an economy. “Unthinkable price of a second COVID wave. ”Really? Aged care residents dying of COVID instead of flu is now an “unthinkable cost”?

Woz, Parramatta Park (6/8), not essential in Queensland Woz, it’s proven that masks of any sort, over nose and mouth, limits spread of virus, so you telling mates it’s OK not to wear them?
