On poor driving

-

G’day folks of the Far North, I’ve a concern about the amount of inconsiderate and incompetent drivers on the northern beaches, as we are aware of the new overpass being built at Smithfield, construction workers are doing their best for all road users. They have put up 60km/h and then 40km/h speed limit signs through this area for safety of all people involved, including drivers. Since the barricading has been installed people must think they are on pit lane at Bathurst. These signs are legitimate speed limit signs. Please slow down and adhere to the signs. We all want to get home safely to our families. Thank you.

Road safety week (CP 25/08). Watch traffic at any set of traffic lights in Cairns at any time day or night, and you’ll see on average two drivers running red lights. Observe traffic at stop signs and you’ll see the majority of drivers fail to stop.

Basic rules aren’t being observed due to selfish drivers and a total lack of consequences. How about more police on traffic duty and some consequences for failing to obey the rules. The entire policing system has failed. Without adequate personnel and resources police will continue to be unable to effect change.

Rick, Redlynch they will jump into the ring and exchange punches while clutching, punching and breathing over each other at close quarters.

Oh Corona, I read Rita Panahi’s editorial with interest. My mind has never been so torn between the options on offer. At some point we have to learn to live with this beast as the economic toll is backbreaking for working Aussies. I’d like to know the latest suicide numbers as I bet they are much higher than average not to mention bankruptcies increasing daily. At what point do we say we now have the hospitals able to cope and get on with life, obviously with personal hygiene paramount to our daily lives?

I think I’ve heard it all now. An ad for The Bachelor came on and the two girls are best friends in the house and, wait for it, ”they’re after the same man” on a show where there’s only one man hence the name The Bachelor.

Where have all the good wheelchair taxi drivers gone like Dean, David, Annie, Anna and Allan? The service has dropped below par now.

So the boomer flu vaccine is made from cells taken from aborted babies. Explains the government’s rush to full legalisation of abortion right up to full term. Must be a dollar in it.

Really? Set free immediately. Not responsible for smashing another’s face due to one’s mental health. So what prevents a person from striking again against anyone else?

New silica (sand) mine proposed next to the Cape Flattery sand mine. (CP,

25/08). Cue the Greens to ban it because of the previously unknown Arrakis sandworm.
