On COVID-19 matters

-

Re: COVID-19 and the future. Doctors treat health issues. 99% of Australians don’t have COVID. Premiers are hiding behind their medical officers because they are too scared to open borders wary of an outbreak. But if they had faith in their medical officers and health departments they would understand that COVID spot fires would be managed as they occur as has been happening in NSW. Sadly most premiers are lacking in leadership and are more concerned about their popularity. Remember “flatten the curve” because you can’t eliminate a virus.

Keep going Premier Palaszczuk. I think you and health advisers are doing great job for Queensland. I think some people like the PM might be a bit jealous of how Queensland has done. We don’t want to end up like Melbourne.

Maybe we should send Mr Entsch to Melbourne’s CBD for a month’s holiday, then he might stop whining about the great job our Premier is doing by keeping our borders closed.

If face masks worked they’d be banned, same as hydroxychloroquine.

What happened to “we are all in this together”. Australians are now treating border closures the same as Australians currently treat marriages. The previous generations treated marriage with respect either in sickness or good health. In addition they looked after each other and their neighbours, no matter what. Today Australians are happy to take the money but not help the Australians who provide it. Australia will never recover socially or politically from the present selfish attitudes of all Australians

Tony, Cairns

On lockdown. The government should make wearing masks compulsory around the country so borders can be open and no lockdowns. They need a plan out as we have to live with virus.
