ROAD CLOSURES
Day one of Targa Great
Barrier Reef will start Friday from 8.10am at Gray Road, Green Hill with cars to finish at Lake Morris Road just before Reservoir Road about 5.50pm. The Green Hill stage will close from 8.09am to 12.39pm on Gray Rd and Green Hill Rd.
The Gillies Range and Little Mulgrave stage will be closed to non-Targa traffic between Appaloosa St, Little Mulgrave and Boar Pocket Rd at Danbulla 8.36am to 2.36pm. The Lake Eacham stage will close Wrights Creek Road between the Gillies Highway and Gadgarra Rd, Gadgarra Rd between Wrights Creek Rd and Winfield Rd, and Winfield Rd between Gadgarra Rd and Lakes Dr from 9am to 1.30pm. The Lake Morris/Copperlode stage will be the last one for the day and will mean Lake Morris/Copperlode Dam Rd will be closed 1km before Campbells Lookout and Lake Morris 11.50am to 5.50pm. There will be no opportunities for spectators on the Lake Morris/Copperlode stage due to a lack of safe spots.
Day two will start at the Bamboo Creek course at Lawrence Rd near Innisfail at 9am and finish at the same location on the reverse-run Innisfail course about 5pm. The Bamboo Creek stage will close on Oak St between Maple St and Lawrence Rd, Lawrence Rd between Oak St and Mundoo Rd, Mundoo Rd between Lawrence Rd and Grima Rd, and Grima Rd between Mundoo Rd and Goroka Cl between 9.10am and 11.50am.
The South Johnstone stage will close Japoon Rd between Flemings Branch Rd and Germantown Rd from 9.25am to 12.05pm.
The Mena Creek and Silkwood stage will close Innisfail to Japoon Rd between Gibson Rd and Warrakin Rd, the Silkwood to Japoon Rd closed between Warrakin Rd and Number Four branch road 9.39am-2.39pm. The Paronella stage will close Japoon to Innisfail Rd between Germantown Rd and Flemings Branch Rd from 12.13pm to 2.53pm.
The Innisfail stage is the final one for Day 2 and will close Grima Rd between Goroka Cl and Mundoo Rd, Mundoo Rd between Grima Rd and Lawrence Rd, Lawrence Rd between Mundoo Rd and Oak St, and Oak St between Lawrence Rd and Maple St from 12.28pm to 4.58pm.
