ORPHANS BURN BRIGHT IN FOREST DRUG DEN
BOGOTA: Two cute and endangered Bengal tiger cubs are being handreared in what was once the private zoo of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.
The cubs were born on August 8 at Colombia’s Hacienda Napoles theme park, but sadly their mother died and they are being cared for by park staff.
Hacienda Napoles was once a luxurious estate built and owned by Escobar, and at its height was home to a vast menagerie of exotic animals including giraffes, elephants and hippos. The Colombian government took over the zoo after Escobar was shot and killed by police in 1993.
