Let’s learn from UK
A report from the UK’s Office of National Statistics shows that, except for April and May, more people in the UK died of influenza than COVID-19. The report shows recent UK flu deaths are similar to the five-year average.
This poses the question: What difference did the emergency measures such as lockdowns, social distancing and masks make in the UK? Perhaps ending the two-month spike? But surely the flu deaths should have reduced as well? The report shows no significant change.
Despite all their emergency measures the flu numbers remain about the same.
This poses the second question: Are Australia’s CV19 and flu figures similar to the UK’s?
If so, the emergency measures have had at best relatively minor impacts on COVID-19 deaths but have produced numerous appalling unforeseen consequences such as other major health issues, despondency, business closures and ruining our economy for years to come.
