ATHERTON RIFLE CLUB

Sunday, April 18, at 300m on an overcast, misty day with tricky winds.

The weather was slightly overcast with light winds for our Benchrest (rimfire) competitio­n over 50m and 100 yards.

Next week’s competitio­n is another Rimfire Benchrest with two details, 9am and noon. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s social shoots start at 9am and 8.15am respective­ly.

MAREEBA RIFLE CLUB

The Mareeba Rifle Club shot a 2 x 300 yard comp on Sunday, April 18. The conditions were very good.

Five members shot Double 600m on Saturday afternoon at the Mossman and District Rifle Range.

Conditions were warm and favourable.

TABLELAND COMPANY OF ARCHERS

On the weekend of April 17-18, various members of different clubs within the FNQ area came together at Tableland Company of Archers club grounds for the NQAA Target Championsh­ips. All participan­ts and judges have been in good spirits despite the temperamen­tal weather. There were no new archers on site last weekend.
