Do you get your five a day?

No, I do not. I am currently undertaking an eight week Power Of Me Challenge through my gym Air Locker and I am going to be adhering to a strict carnivore diet.

Have you ever dieted?

Dieting has never really been something that I have liked doing. I am a big foodie and get a lot of enjoyment through food, therefore feeling restricted in what I can or can’t eat has never appealed to me. In fact, it would likely have an opposite effect of the diet and have me “acting out” when it comes to eating. However, with this challenge I am doing, I really want to see if I am capable of sticking to something as restrictive as the carnivore diet. My theory is, if I can do this; being a chocolate-carbloving fiend, then I know I can trust myself and back myself in challenging times. I’m thinking of it as character building.

Sleep or sex?

Sex. If there’s a man in my bed that I am attracted to, I will physically find it difficult to get to sleep.

What is your absolute blowout meal?

My absolute blowout meal would definitely be some kind of dessert. I love all sweets. I am obsessed with the idea of some kind of glorious waffle stack or decadent cookie.

Have you had any operations? Broken bones?

Operations – wisdom teeth, tonsillectomy, breast augmentation, ACL repair.

What’s been your biggest health mistake?

They have all involved dentists. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, my surgeon overextended my jaw. It now locks, cracks and opens unevenly. That will likely result in some kind of surgery when I’m older. Additionally, I received poor advice from a dentist in removing a cracked back molar. I was told it needed to happen to then have an implant put in. However, upon extraction, the dentist also took some of my jaw bone – now in order to have an implant put in, I have to have a bone graft! A process which will take at least 12 months and cost approximately $10,000 or more.

What health advice would you have given yourself 10 years ago?

Spend more time being present in interactions with friends and family. When teenagers are on the cusp of adulthood, they just want the next thing. I have learnt the value of the present moment.

Would you have plastic surgery? Botox?

I had my breasts augmented in 2018, as a gift to myself after my first year of fulltime work. I have also had a little Botox. I see no harm in getting work done – as long as it’s been carefully thought through.
