RAVENSHOE

It’s time for the annual Tableland Challenge with the first round to be played at RMCC next Sunday August 1st.

This fun competition between the 3 small clubs of Mt Garnet, Millaa Millaa and Ravenshoe has been a fixture on the golfing calendar for well over 30 years. It was originally called the Smith Shield in honour of Len and Berna Smith. The original competition was played as a 4BBB Nett event, but has since morphed into a 2 Ball Ambrose.

Millaa Millaa has won the competition on multiple occasions with the odd win to Mt Garnet or Ravenshoe. However, that doesn’t diminish the competitive nature of the event.

Be at the course by 9 for a 9.30 Shotgun start. If you haven’t nominated your team yet get in touch with the club by Wednesday so that catering numbers can be determined. If you don’t have a partner let the club know and we’ll endeavour to find you one.

In the meantime, make the most of the beautiful golfing weather and
