Re: Olympic rectangle stadium. CRC has no other option than Barlow? What about the empty drive-in site at Woree. It’s up for sale again and has been sitting idle for years. Brilliant size and location. Or other areas southside.

Good to see Mayor Bob Manning, priority for water infrastructure above stupid Olympic Games events. Other politicians, past and present, need to hang up their footy boots and stop bothering taxpayers with their delusions of grandeur, and continually driving Australia over the cliff with massive debt and utter stupidity.

What and who does “Enterprise North” represent? Cairns Post quotes statements from Kevin Byrne a so called spokesperson. A case for a Rectangular Sports Stadium the topic. Meanwhile the state government and local council are the real “players” who will deal with the pros and cons. Ratepayer, Cairns

That the Prime Minister has given the opposition a lead in polling is no shock. We’re after leadership and vision. The Religious Freedom Bill has become a wedge issue, with one group possibly having freedoms enshrined at the expense of others. Wake up, Scott! There are real issues out here. It’s not all about you and your Christian mates. Christianity used to be all about “God is love”. What happened? Fix the economy, improve defence, open the borders, actually aspire to do something on the climate, rein in the premiers. That’s leadership.

Why are people still playing “pandemic”? That’s so 2020. If it were a real pandemic we’d have lost 30 highprofile politicians to the virus by now. We haven’t because it’s not.

Re: Upcoming federal election. With all the minor parties being locked out of debates by the two Tory parties ie: The Gemini parties (can’t tell them apart) one wonders how long it will be before these supposed doyens of our society start the inevitable muckraking campaign, oh and we all know that one of the twins always manages to shoot itself in the foot at some stage.

Germany has announced a nationwide lockdown of the unvaccinated. Hitler would be so proud!

Scientists have concluded July 2021 was the hottest month ever recorded on earth. Oh I forgot, scientists are engaged in a conspiracy to control and enslave us, and media reports of excessive rainfall, floods, heatwaves, droughts etc, is just false scaremongering.

Wow, how good does the 2022 line-up look for the Savannah In the Round? Huge Brad Paisley fan. Don’t mind a bit of Jon Stevens and Black Sorrows either. So good to see the Far North put on such a big event. Better than having to travel to big cities for entertainment. Music fan, Kuranda
