TEN shooters showed for our double 500m, 15 shot matches. The weather was on our side, with nice cloud cover to keep the mirage at bay, over the course of the day.

In Iron sights this week Rick Mischlewski shot a first range score of 47.1 out of 50, this first range detail only being 10 shots for Rick.

F Std. Norbert Schmidt settled into a nice 85.2 out of 90, Carl Read followed on with 81.3, Bill Kromwyk shot next with a steady start of 83.4, Brendan Delaney followed with a very determined look on his face, just pipped Bill, and ended with a 83.5. Wayne Walsh settled into a nice 84.2 to take the lead so far. Nice to see Paul Tiechert back at the range, he shot a 80.4, his first shoot for a while. Tom Baetscher shot a score of 72.1, John Brentson with a 75.1. F Open.

Jake Norris shot a starting range of 78.3 and Neil Browning with a 68.1, both shooters running new rifles, (expecting their scores to dramatically improve shortly). (Jake is shooting F Std)

In the second range for the day in iron sights finished with a 15 shot match and shot a 59.4. F Std.

Schmidt found some fives and a four to reduce his tally to 80.1, Read followed with another score of 81.3, Kromwyk shot a reasonable 85.6 and once again the determined Delaney rose to the top of the pack to shoot a very impressive score of 89.6, well done Brendan. Walsh with an 85.6 and Tiechert finished with a very nice 87.7. Baetscher improved slightly with 75.1 and Brentson with a 78.1.

Play will continue until 4.30pm with an afternoon tea break provided about 3pm and conclude with a random draw deciding the winning team.
