DADDY DON: ‘AISLE BE BACK’
MIAMI: Just days before he is expected to announce his intention to run for president again, Donald Trump took time out to walk his daughter Tiffany down the aisle.
The former president’s daughter married billionaire heir Michael Boulos at Trump’s Florida resort Mar-aLago in front of an altar adorned with a halo of blue, pink and white flowers.
Mr Trump kissed his 29year-old daughter on the cheek before she exchanged vows with the 25-year-old Boulos, whose family owns a conglomerate of companies.
The bride wore a longsleeved, beaded wedding dress by Elie Saab, while her bridesmaids wore light blue gowns. The Trump clan were just as glamorous with halfsiblings Ivanka and Eric attending with their families.
Tiffany is the lowestprofile of Mr Trump’s children and is the daughter of second wife Marla Maples.
Mr Trump is expected to announce on Tuesday, local time, that he will run for president again in 2024, refusing calls from within his own Republican Party to fade away after his loyalists underperformed in last week’s midterm elections.
The 76-year-old has summoned the press to his Florida mansion for a “very big announcement”.
Delaying the announcement now, as some advisers have reportedly suggested to him, would be highly awkward for Mr
Trump because he has billed it – with his usual arrogance – as “perhaps the most important speech given in the history of the USA”.
Last Tuesday, the predicted Republican “red wave” failed to materialise in the midterms, with the Democrats maintaining control of the Senate.
Most pundits and media outlets blamed the poor showing on Mr Trump.
