On Queenslanders being able to change the sex on their birth certificates without undergoing sexual reassignment surgery.

It’s a birth certificate for a reason … it gives information about the “birth” of a person. That should not change. I’m sure they could come up with some other form of ID to do an amendment.

Jessica Cleland

No wonder some of our younger generation are all mixed up. For the government to even consider this is ridiculous.

Morrie Spina

On a Far North boy hospitalised from an e-scooter collision.

Maybe not travelling at warp speed around pedestrians or any potential harm. Designated paths shared with bikes where maximum speed is a lot safer.

Stephen Probert

So angry. Why do we pander to the minority, not everyone is reckless on the scooters. We should not be punished for the stupidity of others.

Kellie Schoneveld Liddle

Helmets need to be enforced for young and old on scooters and bikes. There are so many kids not wearing helmets to and from school. Wendy Hassell

Wayne Milton

Bernadette Camilleri

Brendan Bradford

Schools prep their students on how to do the test and what to expect in the tests, so it defeats the purpose anyway. That’s why I didn’t sit for them.

Benjeman Morrissey

Congratulations to all the hard working teachers and students.

Kim Siegmann

I much prefer Finland’s education philosophy. No school is compared, students are not assessed to be compared and all schools are equal. Kate Dobe

On a new fast food outlet opening in Cairns’ western suburbs.

The amount of fast food restaurants compared to the population size in Cairns is disgusting.

Rhys Dodd

Where’s the petition to open a Nandos in Cairns?

Leon Sainsbury

I’d rather see market gardens than more fast food joints.

Carmel Murray

On Redlynch residents testing a new crime response after break-ins.

All householders should be able to legally hold paintball markers, good deterrent and easy to find the perpetrators.

Ian Cardelli

Wave job application forms at them and watch them run.

Greg Glennon

They wouldn’t recognise them. David Wall
