Peter Dutton has proposed a fact, based view, rather than a politically biased cringe. Hopefully, most Liberals will recognise this.

Would you sign a blank contract and be happy for someone to fill in the details afterwards? Seems that is what the government is asking you to do with your vote on the Voice. We need to vote on the information provided not by guilt or virtue signalling.

Teddy, Bungalow

Albo’s “Voice” proposal will do nothing for genuinely disadvantaged remote area Indigenous people. Think before you cast your vote.

Sweet William, Bungalow

If Aussies vote no to Albo’s racebased voice, Marcia Langton says we’ll get no more “welcome to countries” and Noel Pearson says he’ll shut up permanently. I call that a win-win situation.

To know how “over the target” Donald Trump is, just check the hysteria in the Democrat’s US media. They are absolutely terrified of his immense and growing popularity with all but the most hard-core leftists.

How do you tell a real scientist from a fake scientist? A real scientist is happy to debate the science. A fake scientist simply calls his opponents pejorative names while refusing to debate the science.

Re Mareeba man wins lotto after playing it for six decades (CP, 8/4). The Lotto came to Queensland approximately in 1982. I managed to get three numbers and the supplementary number in the first draw and thought how good is this. I’ve had nothing much since. Maybe I’ve got another 20 years to go to jag the big one too. Good on him.

GTHO, Manunda

If you’ve never heard the truth you’re not ignorant, you’re merely uninformed. If you actively resist hearing the truth, then you’re ignorant.

Re: Archie (CP, 8/4), Peter (CP, 6/4) made the excellent point that the US kills more foreigners in acts of violence than China does, which I’d never previously considered. Are you OK with the US killing innocent civilians, including women and children, with military-grade assault weapons?

Marion, Atherton

No, Archie (CP, 8/4), as I said, I don’t want any foreign countries spying on us. Not China. Not the US. But our intellectually inconsistent governments are OK with being spied on by the US, which is now an antidemocratic country.

Peter, Tolga

Gee, Bob Irwin (CP, 8/04) has morphed into a totalitarian control freak. Crocodiles seem to molest us at will, so if more of us molested them they might actually start thinking twice.
