If the threat of a conflict in our region involving China is now greater than ever, then Albo is helping China strategically by sending our military equipment to Ukraine while crushing our economy and destroying our electricity generation system.

Electricity prices the top worry? Nah, can’t be. Renewables are cheaper, doncha know.

Feminists are such strange people. They used to get hysterical over a “pay gap” that was just a quirk of statistics. But now men use girls’ bathrooms, win women’s sports and beauty contests, and get voted “woman of the year” and those same feminists are silent. I guess they were always just a political tool of the regressive left.

With winter just over a month away, it won’t be long before climate change ostriches start emerging from their summer hibernation to deny global warming while they’ve got their winter pyjamas on.

Re: Advert asking retired police to rejoin the police. Why should they? Currently the police get spat upon, abused, assaulted and not supported by the government. They arrest offenders and they are back on the street within hours. Why would any sane person want to do that job? The government and senior police need to go back to the powers that a police force had and deserves. Their job is to enforce the laws and provide safety to the citizens. Not be psychologists.

How lovely it would be if Mr Palasty could take over Double Island and restore it not only for guests but day trippers. An enterprising local could ferry travellers over from Palm Cove.

A decade of LNP neglect of renewable energy is why electricity prices (CP, 24/4) are a top concern for households. No wonder 65 per cent of Aussies feel positive about a transition to renewables under Labor.

On every continent, including ours, deaths from cold far outnumber deaths from heat. The government’s obsession with reducing warmth is highly illogical.

RIP Barry Humphries. Long live the greatest Dame of all time.

Remarkable to see some councillors criticising the progress of the Wangetti Trail while expecting the state to fund the “glacial paced” northern beaches leisure-way. Biting the hand that feeds.

If CRC is in anyway genuine about not hiking up rates. Don’t waste mega millions pumping the Mulgrave River, with a lifespan of just 15 years. Don’t waste mega millions on a football stadium that gets used a few days per year.
