I wonder if the Voice is ever be given to Australian Indigenous peoples, would they approve of our self appointed King of Australia and swear allegiance.

I think now that Albo has visited and “fixed” Alice Springs issues ha ha … he should probably come up to FNQ and sort out Townsville, Cairns and the Tablelands. It shouldn’t take long in between his many jaunts around the world. KS, Mareeba
Re: $500 power bill relief (CP, 8/5). After paying fossil fuel companies $57.1 bn in subsidies, it’s about time vulnerable Aussies deserve some scrapes from these energy “dinosaurs.”

Victorian Police Commissioner apologises to Victorian Indigenous people for past treatment by Victorian police. What a negative image he has sent to Victorian police men and women potentially admitting mistreatment of Victorian Indigenous people. Therefore moving forward are Victorian Indigenous people untouchable by police or will Victorian police be too scared to arrest these people fearing retribution by their superiors. This is becoming a joke as it doesn’t matter your about your origin, if you do the crime you should do the time. Doug, White Rock
Vigilantes on our streets. What an indictment of our state government. More police on our streets. More police on our roads. Laws that work. Investment in diversionary and social programs. First world education and a safe home for all our children and young people. Our courts open more often. Wake up Anna, you and your inept MPs are a disgrace.

Amazing how the biggest environmental wreckers of the modern era are the Greens, with their promotion of environmentally destructive industrial-scale wind and solar electricity installations and highly polluting battery electric vehicles. Higgs, Tolga
During his Coronation party, it was pleasing to note that King Charles made reference to the harm that climate change is having on the planet, something he has personally witnessed in his visits to 45 Commonwealth countries. Elizabeth, Earlville
Owner of Blue Dive Mark Fraenkel’s passionate plea (CP, 9/5) should be the gold standard for climate action on the reef. The impact of global warming he has seen first hand debunks the posse of climate change deniers like Peter Ridd and his cohorts. Travis, Clifton Beach
A new record for cold temperatures has been set in Antarctica – minus 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Antarctica has not warmed in 70 years. The ice thinning in the west has been caused by volcanic heat and is nothing to do with humans or CO2.
