Saturday was sunny, cool and windy with plenty of mirage. Conditions favoured patient shooters.

RESULTS; Points score at 100 and 200 yards plus total. 1, Gordon, 250.04, 246.04, 496.08; 2, Bill, 248.02, 240.04, 488.06; 3, Jack, 246.03, 228.02, 474.05; 4, Anne, 243.10, 228, 471.10; 5, Gary, 241.02, 220. 461.02, 6, Don, 239.04, 220.01, 459.05:

Next week is our monthly meeting at 11.30am at the rifle range. Next week’s competitio­n is a two card Internatio­nal Rimfire Benchrest over 50m. with two details at 9am, and noon. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s social shoots start at 8.30 and 8.15am respective­ly.

MOSSMAN AND DISTRICT RIFLE CLUB

The double 300 attracted 10 shooters to have a go. Some cloud cover and a medium breeze made for pretty good conditions.

In Iron sights Rick Mischlewsk­i shot an opening round of 47.4

In F Std, Norbert Schmidt away first with 56.3, Bill Kromwyk following closely with 55.2, Carl Read shot next and finished with a flat 49.0, Brendan Delaney next in the line up shot a 52.2.

Sporting hunter saw new shooter Tina score a nice 48.3, John Brentson 45.4, Tom Baetscher dropping 1 point to finish with a nice 49.5, Neil Browning with a score of 45.2 and first time shooter Wade Rigney shot a 43.1. In the second detail of the day Iron sights saw Mischlewsk­i only dropping 1 point to finish with a 54.7, well done.

F Std saw Schmidt, pick it up a bit and shoot a nice score of 63.4,

Kromwyk just pipping that with 64.4, Read finished stronger with a nice 62.4 and Delaney finished with 55.1, not the finish he was hoping for.

Sporting Hunter saw Tina shooting a 40.1, Brentson shot a possible 55.5 points, well done John. Baetscher also scored the lot with 55.7, Browning stepped it up with a nice 53.3 and Rigney shot and finished with 45 points. The final scores:
