Festival to entice regional investors
Cairns’ entrepreneurs will have a chance to rub shoulders with global CEOs and business leaders as the return of a festival of innovation returns to the city.
The Cairns Tropical Innovation Festival will be returning on June 5-9 at the Novotel Oasis Resort to highlight businesses opportunities in the Far North and expose what the region does best to entice investors.
The event offers Far North locals the opportunity to connect and learn from people with first-hand experience and expertise ranging from global entrepreneurs, CEOs, government leaders, investors, innovation visionaries and thought-provoking conversation in a tropical, laid-back setting.
The festival will include keynote speakers, panels, pitches, learning events and mentoring sessions all aimed at creating the ideal environment for networking.
Entrepreneurship facilitator Kate Montgomery said the festival was interactive, and audience participation was always encouraged and often a highlight, with over 50 speakers on the program.
For visitors the event also offers the opportunity to see the best the region has to offer with trips to the rainforest and out to the reef.
Some investors attending include Afterwork Ventures, Black Sheep Capital, Sprint Ventures, Skip Capital, Rampersand, Climate Salad, Co-lab and more.
Kicking off on Monday, June 5, the opening welcoming ceremony will be at the Bulmba-ja Arts Centre.
“We would like to thank our partners, Advance Queensland and the Cairns Regional Council, for assisting us in hosting such an exceptional event in Cairns,” Ms Montgomery said.
Tickets are available at the Tropical Innovation festival website.
