Rally lovers prepare for Easter in Country jaunt

-

PREPARATIONS for an Easter in the Country rally are motoring along, according to the members of the Roma Historical Motor Club.

With just a few weeks to go until the engines start, organisers Robyn Dawes and Kerry Culverhouse are preparing rally bags for participants, with Origin, on behalf of major sponsor Australia Pacific LNG, donating caps, water bottles and pens to be included.

Registration will be held on the Friday, followed by the display of local and visiting cars in the Easter parade on Saturday.

The presentation dinner on the Sunday evening will be following a carless gymkhana, poker checkpoint run, observation walk and a gymkhana for vehicles.

Public viewing will be open for a few hours at the council car park, with additional viewing times at the junior cricket grounds over the weekend.

The observation run and gymkhana for vehicles will be held in Surat on the Sunday.

Ms Dawes and Ms Culverhouse said there was still more room for entries in the rally.

The jaunt was held every two years, and they encouraged enthusiasts to get their entries in soon.

Events for Roma’s Easter in the Country begin on Thursday, April 17 and run through until Easter Monday on April 21.
