Interest high in rural property

-

A MIXED farming property at Wyreema generated significant interest during a recent auction campaign.

‘Wyamba’ at 262 Wyreema-Cambooya Rd, was taken to auction on Tuesday, March 14 as part of the Ray White Toowoomba auction event.

The property has eight registered bidders on the night including one online bidder.

Located between Wyreema and Cambooya, Wyamba is just 20 minutes from the Toowoomba CBD.

It has a sprawling 295 acres with a mixture of beautiful self-mulching black soils and red alluvial soils with small stony outcrops on the hill faces.

The owner estimates that just under 200 acres of the property has previously been cultivated but has more recently been let go back to pasture to accommodate a working Angus stud.

The charming Queenslander homestead has been on the property for more than 100 years and has three bedrooms, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen/living and dining.

The homestead has huge amounts of potential to become a stand out in the area.

Wyamba has recently been fenced with 4 strand barb fencing and timber end assemblies.

The yards consist of steel portable panels with a separate loading ramp.

A (18m x 9m) machinery shed, built in the mid 1990s, along with a dairy that has been converted into a stable and an old dairy shed allow for easy management of the property.

Ray White Rural Toowoomba sales agent Michael Tomlinson said he was impressed with the level of interest shown in the property.

“The bidding started around $600,000 and quickly rose to the $1 million level,” he said.

“However it was passed in on the night.”

He said there was more than 17 inspections on the property before the auction and another three since the auction night.

“We’ve had good interest so I am confident we can achieve a good result off the back of that interest.”
