TRL: Some of the most potent attacking weapons in the Hutchinson Builders TRL Premiership will go head-to-head when Dalby hosts Valleys in the latest battle of title contenders.

The TRL has been spoilt for big games the past few rounds as the top four teams come face-to-face.

That happens again tomorrow when the unbeaten Diehards host high-flying Valleys, who are coming off their first loss of the season last weekend.

Adding an exciting dimension to the clash is some of the most prolific try-scorers in the TRL will be in action.

Dalby fullback Corey Blades has long been a danger man in the TRL and he is enhancing that reputation this season as he tops the try-scorers list after eight rounds.

Blades has run in an impressive 11 tries in just seven games and is a big strike weapon for the Diehards.

Valleys are not without their own try machine as winger Emmanuel Cerei has made a big impression on the TRL by scoring nine tries from seven games.

Dalby’s Steve Franciscus is just one try down the list with eight from seven games.

Throw in live-wire Valleys fullback Dylan Chown, who has crossed for six tries this season, and there are some

awesome attacking talents that will battle it out in this big game.

Dalby will be without some key players against Valleys, with Alex Ambia and Dylan Taylor out through injury, and hooker Danny Wassell unavailable due to suspension.

Valleys captain and halfback Ryan Stevens is also out this weekend, so the attack of both teams could be stifled with playmakers missing.

Diehards coach Kerry Carmichael is happy with the defence of his team so far this season but it looking for execution in attack against the Roosters.

“What we are doing is working and we will keep sticking to that,” he said.

“Maintaining our solid defence will be a key to this weekend but I would also like us to be more clinical in attack. We need to improve on our completion rates and keep working on some of our mistakes.”
