Londoners open doors in support

-

SCORES of Londoners have offered up their homes to anyone stranded in the aftermath of the London Bridge terror incident.

Brits took to Twitter to give people stuck in the vicinity of London Bridge a place to stay amid reports up to 20 people had been injured in the attack.

The hashtags #PrayForLondon and #SofaForLondon started trending within minutes of news about the attack breaking.

One twitter user offered her house and a homecooked meal to the stranded in the wake of the third attack in the UK in 10 weeks.

“If anyone is stuck near #LondonBridge and wants a place to crash and a home cooked meal, then my house is only three mins away,” she tweeted.

Another offered up cups of tea in true British spirit: “If anyone needs a place to crash or a cuppa holla at me! My bed has a tempa topper. Spread love xx.”

One Brit proved it’s the thought that counts with his offer: “If anyone caught up in #LondonBridge or #Borough Market needs a place to stay, I’m far west London, but you’re very welcome.”

Taxi drivers were also offering free lifts to people trying to flee the vicinity of the attacks.

One Twitter user said: “#London you cannot break humanity. Taxi drivers offering lifts to safety and hotels and business offering a safe place.”

Another shared a similar story: “Terrible events in London but with people offering help and free taxi rides I’m proud to be British.”
