Ladies love just cutting

-

Chiaki Andrews

I HAVE been with Just Cuts for about 10 years. I used to work in the original salon at Grand Central too and came to this one when it opened.

I have been a hairdresser for more than 25 years.

I have a background in art, so hairdressing started off as a back-up job.

I like that I can use my creativity with art on the hair.

It is very handy when I am doing hairdressing, because hair is like a sculpture.

We have a very good clientele here. I am originally from Japan, so I don’t have family here, so my clients are part of my life.

When I am not working, I always go back to doing art.

I HAVE been here since we opened this salon last year.

I am originally from New Zealand. I have been in Toowoomba for four years and I was at the Gold Coast before that.

This is a really friendly town. It has a small country feel but on a large scale which is really nice.

I have been a hairdresser for 16 years.

I love making people feel really good when they leave the salon. The biggest buzz of my job is seeing someone walk out feeling really good about themselves.

I like doing a variety of different cuts because everyone is so different and it is just whatever makes people happy.

What I like about working here is that everyone is so friendly and the girls are so beautiful to work with.

I am a mum to two boys who are eight and four so they keep me really busy when I am not here.

I HAVE been at this store since our grand opening day last year.

I am from Pittsworth. I did my apprenticeship there too.

I am enjoying being in Toowoomba. It is a good place to work with good people.

The best thing about it is that you get to speak to so many different people during the day. I don’t think I could do an office job.

I have been a hairdresser for 12 years. I started when I was 13 years old.

I have always wanted to do it apparently, since I was little, so I just sort of stuck with it.

I like the whole franchise aspect of being here. I have never worked in a franchise.

I prefer cutting. I did barbering for a while.

I have two children; they keep my busy. I have a five year old and a one year old and a three- year-old stepdaughter.

Toni Lane

I HAVE been with Just Cuts for about two years and with this salon since the start.

I have lived in Toowoomba since 1995 and came from Bundaberg.

I just love the creativity of it all. I love just cutting and not using chemicals.

Being here is like a family environment. We do a lot of modern cutting also with the ladies who just want a nice cut.

What I love about Toowoomba is, because I came from a small country town, it is good we have shops here. I think the Grand Central expansion is wonderful and is a great opportunity for Toowoomba people.
