Rozzi’s needs new owners

ROZZI’S Italian Canteen opened in Toowoomba two months ago and the Queensland management team is looking for franchisees to take over the business.

Opening in Grand Central in March, the gourmet Italian brasserie is one of the most recent additions to the shopping centre.

The brand is famed across Australia for its food that tastes like it’s straight from nonna’s kitchen.

Rozzi’s Italian Canteen aims to showcase all the wonderful things about real Italian food.

There are 11 stores in Australia and the Toowoomba store is operated by the Queensland Master Franchisor’s management.

Lawrence Jayaraj runs the store and said the idea was that Rozzi’s head office would set up the store and train the staff.

“We have found the best success is when we build a strong foundation and train staff then hire local franchisees,” he said.

“There is an advantage to have hospitality experience but if they are willing to learn we can teach them everything they need to know.”

Since opening Rozzi’s is smashing sales which are exceeding $30,000 per week and it is only growing.

The projected annual sales are estimated to be $1,500,000 with a net profit of $300,000.

Mr Jayaraj said the business was doing terrifically well.

“It is a different concept for a shopping centre,” he said. “We make a lot of the food fresh daily, it’s not packaged, but instead made on premises. We make quality coffee, fresh pastas and pizzas daily.”

Advertised on seekbusiness.com.au, the Italian canteen is for sale for $750,000 plus stock at value.
