Get set to rock with the Eagles

Together and Alone will present a song fest of Eagles hits in a tribute concert production for the first time at the Empire Theatre

THE Eagles are indisputab­ly one of rock’s greats, and Toowoomba will soon get to relive the hits with, The Best of the Eagles in Concert.

They have sold more than 150 million records worldwide, won six Grammy Awards, have had six number one albums and five number one singles, making them one of the most successful bands of all time.

The group’s first best-of collection, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, is among the best-selling albums of all time with more than 42 million copies sold.

The Best of the Eagles is a tribute concert production that delivers a captivatin­g show from start to finish recreating the synonymous country rock sound Eagles fans have come to expect.

With a string of sold-out shows from coast to coast performing to more than 10,000 Eagles fans last year, The Best Of The Eagles won over audiences with fans calling the show “entertaini­ng” and “brilliant”.

The band, Together and Alone, for the first time will present a song fest of classic Eagles hits including Desperado, Take It Easy, New Kid In Town, Take It To The Limits, Heartache Tonight and the legendary Hotel California, along with many more with a mix of solo hits of members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Glenn Frey.

The discograph­y of Don Henley consists of five studio albums, two compilatio­n albums and 27 solo singles including such hits as The Boys Of Summer, Dirty Laundry, All She Wants to Do Is Dance and The End of the Innocence.

Joe Walsh began his solo career in 1974 releasing his first of 12 solo albums. Releasing 18 singles, Walsh enjoyed hits with Life’s Been Good and Rocky Mountain Way.

Glenn Frey achieved solo success in the 1980s having recorded five solo studio albums, two compilatio­n albums, a live album and released 19 singles including Top 40 hits The Heat Is On, You Belong To The City and Smuggler’s Blues.
