Tomorrow night’s meeting at Clifford Park could benefit from the reflected gaze of the Australian racing industry.

The eyes of racing in Australia will be on the Stradbroke Handicap Day at Doomben and the biggest event in Queensland racing will be followed by by a seven-race program at Clifford Park.

Promising juvenile Love Spy builds on her comeback to the track when she lines up in the Hit FM Class 3 Handicap (1050m).

The now three-year-old filly had a great first campaign as she won her opening two races before a metropolitan minor-placing.

She was then unplaced in the Dalrello Stakes last year before waiting more than a year for her next race.

Love Spy returned with a promising run in a Class 3 over 1050 metres at Clifford Park on May 13, leading for much of the trip before finishing seventh.

Trainer Ben Currie will push on with her second preparation with that first run back boosting her fitness for tomorrow night’s assignment.

Josh Oliver has booked the ride on Love Spy, who is listed as $2.70 favourite in early markets.

Agapantha ($3.50) and Ruby Two Shoes ($4.40) are two major threats in the race.

Lindsay Hatch-trained Agapantha is first-up after a spell and has a strong record running fresh.

He has one win and two third-placings from his first run in three previous preparations, along with an impressive record over the distance at Clifford Park.

Inverell-trained Ruby Two Shoes is a last-start winner at Armidale tackling her first run at Clifford Park.

This is the first of seven races scheduled for Clifford Park tomorrow night, with race one scheduled to jump at 4.55pm.

Racing is also at Burgess Park on Sunday for the $20,000 Gatton Cup over 2000 metres.
