EVERYONE wants to get there hot little hands on tickets for this year’s Spring Polo in Queens Park.

On Saturday night, organisers The Event Group Toowoomba officially launched the glamorous event in the Lexus of Toowoomba showroom.

The quaint yet lavish afternoon-turned-night was attended by the event’s sponsors and topped off with horses, models, live music and canapes.

After the successful inaugural Spring Polo last year, The Event Group Toowoomba partner Maree Parsons was proud to announce this year’s event on September 23 would be double the capacity.

“Tickets went on sale in early May and the Colliers VIP pavilion and the private marquees all sold out in under three hours,” she said.

“I think what people love about it is it’s a mixture of daytime glamour with field-side champagne, live music and it’s not every day you get to see ponies in Queens Park.”

The Spring Polo will be on the second weekend of the Carnival of Flowers.

It will feature two spectator-friendly polo matches, all easily visible from the canopy lounge and VIP areas.

“The canopy lounge is a beautiful spot for watching the polo and tickets to this area are $75 per person prior to August, after this they increase to $95 per person,” Mrs Parsons said.

“This is where the live band will be situated, fashions on the field will be held, a general bar and plenty of food options.

“And for the ladies, we you don’t have to wear ridiculous shoes – you can wear a wedge, relax and have a beautiful day in the park.”

The Event Group Toowoomba partners Jo Capp, Cassandra Hunter and Mrs Parsons thanked the community, Toowoomba Regional Council and the Downs Polo Club for their continued support.
