Global speakers are on Toowoomba’s doorstep

TOOWOOMBA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE | with Chamber CEO Jo Sheppard

-

GONE are the days of having no other option than to travel to the capital cities to learn from global business leaders to help build your networks and “sharpen the saw”’ (as Stephen Covey would say).

Our expectation now is that global talent and experience is accessible right here locally and more and more this expectation is being met and continues to develop.

The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming chairman’s breakfast on July 6 features John Witheriff, best known as the chairman of Nexus.

Mr Witheriff is globally recognised for his many other achievements and roles including chairman of the Indy 300, Chairman Gold Coast Light Rail project and he is currently sitting as director of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Authority.

Don’t forget to take a look at the line-up for the Big Ideas Summit, which will be held at the Empire Theatre on July 24.

This event will bring a multitude of impressive skills to Toowoomba.

Keynote John Spence is one of the youngest Rockefeller CEOs and recognised as one of the top 100 business thought leaders in America.

You can participate in an Executive Level Business Strategy Masterclass with John Spence - a morning of professional development not to be sneezed at and proudly sponsored by chamber. These are just two examples of what is available locally for Toowoomba businesses during the month of July.

I would encourage businesses to take advantage of the global talent that is being brought to their doorstep and get involved. Go to toowoombachamber.com.au for further details.
