1. Queensland Fiery Food Festival

THE inaugural Queensland Fiery Food Festival is a weekend of hot and spicy foods filled with entertainment and 16 of Australia’s premier fiery food producers.
The intention of the festival is to provide a venue where people can learn and experience fiery foods.
The festival will be filled with cook-offs and competitions including the fiery wing eating contest, best dressed, camp oven cook-off, fiery food cook-off and more.

2. Felton Harvest’s Winter Long Lunch
WHEN: Tomorrow, noon to 3.30pm
WHERE: 223 Counsell Rd, Southbrook
ENJOY a winter long lunch in the paddock to celebrate beef and local produce.
The lunch will raise money for multiple sclerosis research.
Tickets for the event are $80 which includes canapes and drink on arrival, lunch, dessert plus tea and coffee.
The team behind Felton Harvest is passionate about supporting local farmers and growers and producing delicious food.
3. Ex-hotel sale
WHEN: Tomorrow, 8am to noon WHERE: The Burke and Wills Hotel
VINTAGE lovers and antique collectors are invited to a one-off event where they could own a piece of history from one of the city’s most famous hotels.
Demolition crews will soon start working on the Burke
and Wills Hotel as part of its $10 million redevelopment.
Everything from its 90 suites and rooms needs to go before it becomes a construction site.
Hundreds of prestigious items will go up for sale.
4. Winter on Bells

Browse the winter markets, see the giant snow dome and snow making machine, enjoy games and a free movie night starting at 5pm – bring your blankets and beanbags.

5. Together in Song
WHEN: Today, 2pm
WHERE: St Luke’s Church THE Toowoomba Choral Society, together with Ipswich
Orpheus Chorale, and the Chorale’s newly formed Ipswich Orpheus Orchestra, presents a wonderful celebration of sacred choral music.
The concert will feature performances by each choir and the orchestra individually, as well as combined choruses.
This is an event not to be missed by lovers of fine choral and orchestral music.

6. Madsen-Rasmussen Trophy
WHEN: Tomorrow, games start 10am
WHERE: Herb Steinohrt Oval on Pillar St, Middle Ridge
THE Toowoomba Rugby League will host its annual Madsen-Rasmussen Trophy Final Day.
Games start at 10am and feature the top two teams in each grade, culminating with the A grade game between Dalby and Valleys at 3pm.
Take your own chair and check out some of the region’s top rugby league players in action.
7. Mountain Designs opening

POPULAR Australian outdoor clothing chain Mountain Designs will open in Toowoomba this weekend.
8. Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole
WHEN: Today, 8pm WHERE: Empire Theatre BECCY Cole and Adam Harvey are touring together to perform songs from their album Great Country Songbook Vol 2.
Adam and Beccy have finally taken their favourite list of country duets to the studio and fans across the country are set to benefit with The Great Country Song Book Volume II Tour.

9. Book sale

WHERE: Highfields Fitness and Recreation Centre
THE Friends of the Highfields Library is holding a book sale this weekend.
Fill a bag for $5 – bags are provided or bring your own.
All funds raised are used to provide children’s holiday activities, My Cup of Tea craft sessions for adults, and other workshops at the library.

10. Glass Bead Art Workshop

WHERE: Cobb and Co Museum LEARN the skills and techniques required to make beautiful glass beads.
Techniques include bead shaping, correct dot placement, making and applying stringers, encasing, raking and twisting dots and using silver leaf.
