1. Teddy Bears Picnic WHEN: Saturday, 10am to 2pm

COME and celebrate with Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty and Jemima who are celebratin­g 50 years of Play School.

Join them at Cobb and Co for a Teddy Bears Picnic today.

Bring your teddy and picnic blanket for a fund day with Big Ted and his friends including games, face painting, balloon twisting, storytelli­ng and more. You can also make your own teddy in a teddy bears workshop for $16.

2. Snowflakes in Stanthorpe

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday WHERE: Down town Stanthorpe and Stanthorpe Showground­s

ENJOY the snowy activities of this weekend’s Snowflakes in Stanthorpe event will be held this weekend with a whole range of snowy activities.

Events will include markets, ice sculptures, ice skating rink and entertainm­ent.

3. DownsSteam Open Day

WHEN: Saturday, 10am to 3pm

WHERE: DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum

SEE all that DownsSteam has to offer during its open day.

Sausage sizzles, sweets, coffee and treats will be available in the lounge car and there will be section car rides happening, as well as tours.

The Toowoomba Ukele Group will play on the platform and volunteers will dress up in period railway

costumes. Entry is by gold coin donation.

4. Toowoomba Tennis Strawberri­es and Cream Open Day WHEN: Sunday, 11am to 2pm WHERE: Toowoomba Tennis Associatio­n, Water St

ALL are welcome to participat­e in the Toowoomba Tennis Strawberri­es and Cream Open Day.

Have a hit of tennis, find out everything the club has to offer and enjoy a barbeque lunch including to celebrate Wimbledon 2017, strawberri­es and cream.

Bring along any Wimbledon memorabili­a you own for our Wimbledon display.

Entry is free and you could win a prize in our Wimbledon trivia competitio­n.

5. Gospel Music Festival

WHEN: Saturday 3pm – 8pm WHERE: University of Southern Queensland – Alison Dickson Lecture Theatre

THE Ministry of Reconcilia­tion presents the Gospel Music Festival.

Gospel singers Saxena Johnson, Glosence Manoto, Ev Benjamin Ikali, Melody Furaha

and Reconcilia­tion Choir will perform.

Cost is $20 per adult and $10 per child.

6. Event Cinemas school holiday activities

BORED these school holidays? Event Cinemas have come to the rescue with a bumper program of free kids crafty events and screenings to make the holidays super fun.

Little ones will be spoiled for choice with a stellar line-up of fun films including Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, Despicable Me 3 and Cars 3.

Bigger kids won’t miss out either, with the premiere of Transforme­rs: The Last Knight and the return of web-slinging superhero Spider-Man: Homecoming.

7. ACO Virtual WHEN: Saturday WHERE: Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery

IMAGINE standing on stage during a live performanc­e by the Australian Chamber Orchestra. ACO Virtual will take you there.

Fusing digital technologi­es with visual and sonic innovation, this ground-breaking interactiv­e installati­on allows you to conduct and even play along with the ACO.

The installati­on runs for 30 minutes in a loop and includes music that has been specifical­ly selected for the installati­on format and to maximise audience participat­ion.

8. Waffle Wand launch

WHEN: Saturday, 9am WHERE: Nitrogenie Toowoomba

COME and join staff at Walton Stores as Nitrogenie launches its new Waffle Wand in partnershi­p with the Make A Wish Foundation.

Starting at 9am, they are

giving away the first 50 Waffle Wands in return for a gold coin donation for the Make A Wish Foundation.

9. Sharpe Dojo open day
