Torrington site sets new land record

-

A 10-HECTARE parcel in Torrington’s transport hub has set a local record for developable land, exchanging hands for $2.5 million in a deal secured by LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba.

The site – set across three lots – is located near the Heinemann Rd Transport Precinct and holds approximately 570 metres of frontage to Carrington, Troys and Cecil Plains Rds.

The land has preliminary approval for a plethora of industrial uses including vehicle, machinery and equipment sales and service, manufacturing, transport logistics and warehousing.

LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba CEO Mike Stewart and general manager Shane Kennett secured the sale of the property.

Mr Kennett said the property attracted significant interest during the campaign, culminating in the premium result for the vendor.

“Developable sites in proximity to Toowoomba’s transport hubs are attracting significant interest as the infrastructure additions throughout the Darling Downs make the city the central gateway between the state’s west, the Port of Brisbane, and southern states (through the future Inland Rail),” Mr Kennett said.

“With easy access to the Warrego Highway and the Second Range Crossing, the site sits on the major arterial carrying most of the heavy traffic in and out of Toowoomba.”

The site previously contained eight lots but had been amalgamated into three lots.
