Baby, toddler expo to attract region parents

-

THE Toowoomba Baby and Toddler Expo will bring together parents and parents-to-be at the weekend.

The inaugural event will have 75 local businesses providing products and services for fertility, pregnancy, birth, babies, toddlers and parents at the Highfields Cultural Centre tomorrow from 10am to 4pm.

The Toowoomba Baby and Toddler Expo concept is unlike anything hosted in Toowoomba for fertility, pregnancy and birth before.

As well as exhibitors, there will be guest speakers including Toowoomba obstetrician Dr Brendan Miller and demonstrations including first aid, child restraints, as well as dance and gymnastics schools performing.

New Toowoomba mum Caiti Easton will also MC the event.

Expo organiser Kerri Brennan of Little Miracles Maternity Wear said Toowoomba had amazing products and services available to parents.

She said she was eager to let people know about what was on offer.

“The expo was born out of a desire to make it easy for people to know what our local region has on offer for parents, babies and toddlers, by bringing a large range of local businesses together in a spirit of collaboration,” she said.

Several expert exhibitors will also be on hand to speak with attendees, including private obstetricians, midwives, lactation consultants and other health professionals.

The cost is $10 for pre-bookings, made via the website or $15 at the door.
