Gruidae is up for auction

-

PETA Adams has moved on and away from the district and therefore has decided to sell her property Gruidae at Mitchell by auction on Thursday, July 27, 10.30am at the Overlander Motel in Roma.

Gruidae is located 12km west of Mitchell and with Warrego Hwy frontage, access is never a problem for the property.

The 395 hectares of buffel and natural grass pastures have ensured any cattle sold from the property are in great condition.

Gruidae consists of undulating red loam to self-mulching heavy black soil country timbered with bottle tree, kurrajong, brigalow, wilga and areas of box and sandalwood regrowth.

The country is densely covered in buffel and natural pastures and grows ample winter herbages with the elevation protecting it from most frosts.

There are scattered trees across the property with approximately 95% being white on the vegetation map and eligible to be cleared.

The property is securely fenced into seven paddocks, which are watered by three dams and water from a share bore.

A timber set of cattle yards service the property and are of a suitable size for the number of head run on the property.

The homestead is a large timber home with seven bedrooms, separate dining room, lounge, store room, kitchen with large gas stove, two bathrooms, breezeway and a wide veranda at the front and back.

The home is of very solid construction with loads of originality and character, with pressed tin ceilings in most rooms.

This is a quality bit of country close to Mitchell which needs to be inspected to be believed, as with further development carrying capacity can be increased.
