PRASUNA Abbaraju loves the beauty of Toowoomba.

She said she loved the pleasant climate and the people of the city.

And she also loves her job at SEACRET, in Grand Central Shopping Centre.

The store, located in the retail galleria, sells cosmetics and skin care.

Mrs Abbaraju started working there in 2012, after moving across the world from India to Toowoomba to get her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland.

She worked in the store for about four years, gaining experience in every facet of running the business and in March last year, she became the new owner.

“I enjoy it (working here) very much,” she said.

Mrs Abbaraju said she enjoyed demonstrating how to use make-up with customers, as well as helping them find suitable skin care products which she described as “the best, most concentrated combination of Dead Sea products in the market today”.

“I enjoy helping them create a skin care regime that will allow you to have softer and younger-looking skin,” she said.

On an average day, she said she opened the store at 8.45am and closed at 5.30pm, spending the day attending to customers and other duties to keep the business running smoothly.

She started her career working as an administration officer in Overseas Higher Education consultancy.

She worked in various positions for about 12 years.

Mrs Abbaraju lives in Toowoomba with her husband and two children.

While they did not move to Toowoomba with her immediately, they joined her shortly after.

“My husband is very supportive in all aspects,” she said.

“He helps me in running the business.”

She said her two children attended school in the city and loved living here.
