Victoria back in action
Stylist starts again in CBD
WITH nearly two decades of experience in salons all across Australia, Victoria Ryan is ready to prove she’s a cut above the rest.
The hard-working and versatile hairdresser has teamed up with Inch Hair Productions’ Kerry Prendergast to launch her new business, Tor Louise Hair Art in the Chronicle Arcade on Margaret St.
Born and raised in Toowoomba, Ms Ryan said she wanted to dominate the scene in the Garden City once again, after spending three years teaching the trade at TAFE.
“It was a great experience (at TAFE) and they had an amazing team, but personally I needed a new challenge,” she said.
“Kerry has welcomed me back onto the salon floor, and she’s allowed me to grow my own business beside hers.
“We’re coming together under the one roof.”
Ms Ryan, who has cut virtually every type of hair available and helped thousands of clients, said she enjoyed watching a customer’s transformation after a cut.
“I love to be able to give a client change and I love solving problems for them too,” she said.
“I think it’s all about relationship building and listening to the client and achieving a great result.
“If you can do that, they’ll come back.”
Ms Ryan’s most glowing endorsement came from Ms Prendergast, who ranked her as one of the top hairdressers she has ever worked with.
“She would be on the top of the pile, that’s why I’ve allowed her to be here,” she said.
“I wouldn’t just let anyone to be here, because she will be doing my clients (when I’m away) and I am 100% certain she’ll do a fantastic job.
“I wouldn’t let anyone else rent a chair in here.”
On top of her standard salon styling, Ms Ryan has an extensive portfolio of session hair art, which has been featured on the cover of Ruth Magazine and in advertisements.
