- with Chamber CEO Jo Sheppard

PROVIDING quality networking opportunities is an important part of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce’s role for its members and the broader business community.

Most businesses recognise the importance of networking to their business.

Business Insider Australia magazine goes so far as to say that networking can serve as a lifeline for some businesses from building contacts to finding industry advice from experts right through to potentially finding investors or new business partners.

The chamber provides many events covering a range of topics to meet the needs and interests of its membership.

Our monthly premier event is of course Business at Dusk which is help at a different business venue on the evening of the third Wednesday of each month.

This event is a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their operation and for attendees to meet and learn more about their local business community.

We also provide regular business breakfasts, workshops and seminars all designed to help our members share information and build strong business to business networks.

Our keynote event of the year is always the Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards dinner – this year to be held at the Empire Theatre on Saturday, October 14.

This is an event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the best of the best of the Toowoomba business community.

This month the chamber is holding a breakfast which looks at the emerging business opportunities that the National Disability Insurance Scheme is driving across the region.

Our August Business at Dusk is at TAFE and is a great opportunity to better understand how TAFE South-West can partner with your business to ensure a skilled workforce.
