We can thank our foremothers for bravely asserting their feminine power within the boys’ clubs of the corporate world because since this time, women have made leaps in this arena.

In fact, Forbes states “a golden age for women entrepreneurs has begun”.

However, given the turn-out and passion at this year’s women’s marches in New York and London and the gender pay gap disparity still being just as prevalent as ever, is it up to the women of today’s workforce to take hold of the power dressing baton once more?

Australian fashion icon, and a woman at the head of a successful 50-year-old business, Carla Zampatti was asked recently what key pieces every woman should have in her work wardrobe.

Topping the list for Carla was the “pant suit”.
