A WOMAN granted bail by a Toowoomba court on an attempted murder charge has been returned to custody after allegedly violating one of her bail conditions within one week of being given her liberty.

Ellanah Margaret Fay Wilson had been charged with attempted murder arising from the shooting of a 20-year-old man outside a Curzon St, Rangeville residence last month.

Police do not claim the 26-year-old was present when the man was shot twice, but allege she may have been the instigator of the attack on the shot man with whom she had been in a relationship some time ago, Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard.

The mother of three was granted bail by a magistrate last week with strict conditions including residing with her mother and step-father on the family property near Rockhampton and not returning to Toowoomba unless required for court proceedings.

Wilson, who has not been required to enter any plea to the charge, was allegedly found in Toowoomba on Wednesday night by police conducting a search of a residence on unrelated matters.

She spent the night in the watch house before appearing briefly back in the same court yesterday.

Wearing light grey sweat pants, a jumper and handcuffs, Wilson watched from the dock as her solicitor John Davis (MacDonald Law) told the court his client would not be applying for bail at this stage and asked that the bail granted last week be revoked.

Mr Davis said his client had gone to the family property outside Rockhampton in compliance with her bail conditions.

However, she had found herself back in Toowoomba where she was found by police.

His client would remain in custody at this stage, he said.

There being no application for bail, Magistrate Graham Lee revoked all bail and remanded Wilson in custody.

Her case was adjourned for mention back in the same court on September 28.

Jackson Paul Edward McInnes, 23, who police claim to have been the driver for those involved in the shooting appeared before the same court on July 20 and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear for mention in court on September 14.

A third person charged with attempted murder from the same incident is due to make his first appearance before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court also on September 14.
