- Kate Dodd kate.dodd@thechronicle.com.au

CHEF Kate McAloon might not be a household name, but she is well-known among huge stars like Dwayne Johnston, Steven Spielberg, Gwyneth Paltrow and Courtney Cox.

She’s the woman behind all of the delicious food served at the swanky Hollywood dinner parties and Sunday arvo chill sessions.

She said mostly if was fun to cook for the stars, but one day she almost made a huge mistake.

“Courtney Cox used to have parties on Sunday afternoon and one day, I was making drinks,” she said.

“I grabbed a bottle of olive oil instead of the bottle of tequila.

“Luckily I realised what I’d done, but it could have been a huge disaster.”

That’s just one of the stories of her experiences of cooking for the stars that she’s shared in her new cook book, The Flavour of Joy.

Ms McAloon, who has partnered with Australia’s leading certified organic chicken producer Inglewood Organic and is also the

culinary ambassador for Young Living Culinary Oils, is here to launch her new cook book.

The book is packed full of recipes and anecdotes from the celebrities she has cooked for.

She will be in Toowoomba

today from 11am to 1pm at Organic Food Market, tomorrow from 9am to 11am at the My Local Feast Farmers Market and on Sunday, from 10am to 1pm at Wray Organics.
