A TRACTOR parked in a machinery sales yard was destroyed by fire yesterday. Emergency services were called to the Chesterfield Australia machinery yard at the corner of Boundary Rd and the Leichhardt Hwy at Goondiwindi shortly before 6am. The initial call reported

other tractors in the machinery yard were under threat with concerns about the extent of the fire. Queensland Ambulance paramedics were put on standby at the property’s boundaries where smoke and the incident caused delays in the immediate area. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services attacked the blaze with two firefighters in breathing apparatus tackling the fire inside the premises.

QFES reported the fire was contained to one tractor and others were not under threat when they arrived on scene. Crews had extinguished the fire and left the scene about 6.30am.
