Charges filed after drug raids
SEVERAL people will face court on drug and traffic charges after targeted raids north of Toowoomba.
Crows Nest police were helped by officers from Goombungee, Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch, Toowoomba Tactical Crime Squad, Toowoomba Road Policing Unit and the Brisbane dog squad for Operation Papa Orpine in the Crows Nest region.
A Ravensbourne Dip Rd property at Ravensbourne raided on August 4 led police to allegedly locate a quantity of cannabis, cannabis seeds and other drug-related items.
A man, 63, was charged with producing dangerous drugs, possess dangerous drugs, possess drug utensils and other offences.
A van parked in a caravan park off the New England Hwy at Crows Nest was raided the same day where police allegedly located a quantity of amphetamine and drug utensils.
A woman, 33, and man, 44, were charged with drug offences.
A property on Esk St in Crows Nest was raided on August 4, leading to a man, 37, being charged with possessing drug utensils.
A man, 42, is wanted for questioning over an alleged discovery and seizure of cannabis seeds found inside a property on the New England Hwy at Glenaven.
Another man, 44, is also wanted for questioning after police allegedly located a quantity of tablets inside a property on the New England Hwy at Emu Creek on August 4.
The alleged offenders will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court at different hearings this month. Phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
