Toowoomba service station team takes out award

A TOOWOOMBA service station has been recognised nationally for living its values.

7-Eleven Australia has recognised 7-Eleven Harristown, presenting the team with the Queensland Fairness and Integrity Award at a gala dinner in Brisbane.

According to 7-Eleven CEO Angus McKay, the awards celebrated the mutual commitment 7-Eleven, its franchisees and store managers had to the company’s values.

“Our values are at the heart of who we are, and how we strive to conduct ourselves in operating our businesses.” Mr McKay said.

“Our franchisees and store managers are valued business partners, and together we are growing our businesses by providing great service and value to our customers.

“I’m really pleased to be able to recognise some of their outstanding achievements through the 7-Eleven Spirit Awards.”

The Fairness and Integrity Award was presented to the 7-Eleven Harristown team as they had demonstrated they act with sensitivity and embrace the highest standards.

Mr McKay said the Toowoomba team were part of their community and behaved with respect and social responsibility.

Harristown franchisees Rav Sahu and Rahul Bhardwaj were really excited with the win and said their team members were critical to the success of their business.

“Our team is our strength, and our community give us great support,” Mr Sahu said.

Mr Sahu said the team at Harristown had a great relationship with their community and had worked very hard to deliver an outstanding quality offer to their local customers.

Mr McKay said the stories shared on the night of the awards, behind each nomination showcased the difference these inspiring store leaders were making in their stores, with their teams and in their communities, through really embodying 7-Eleven’s five values.

“I’d like to congratulate all of the nominees and our winners on their achievements and deserved recognition,” Mr McKay said.
