Toowoomba service station team takes out award

A TOOWOOMBA service station has been recognised nationally for living its values.

7-Eleven Australia has recognised 7-Eleven Harristown, presenting the team with the Queensland Fairness and Integrity Award at a gala dinner in Brisbane.

According to 7-Eleven CEO Angus McKay, the awards celebrated the mutual commitment 7-Eleven, its franchisee­s and store managers had to the company’s values.

“Our values are at the heart of who we are, and how we strive to conduct ourselves in operating our businesses.” Mr McKay said.

“Our franchisee­s and store managers are valued business partners, and together we are growing our businesses by providing great service and value to our customers.

“I’m really pleased to be able to recognise some of their outstandin­g achievemen­ts through the 7-Eleven Spirit Awards.”

The Fairness and Integrity Award was presented to the 7-Eleven Harristown team as they had demonstrat­ed they act with sensitivit­y and embrace the highest standards.

Mr McKay said the Toowoomba team were part of their community and behaved with respect and social responsibi­lity.

Harristown franchisee­s Rav Sahu and Rahul Bhardwaj were really excited with the win and said their team members were critical to the success of their business.

“Our team is our strength, and our community give us great support,” Mr Sahu said.

Mr Sahu said the team at Harristown had a great relationsh­ip with their community and had worked very hard to deliver an outstandin­g quality offer to their local customers.

Mr McKay said the stories shared on the night of the awards, behind each nomination showcased the difference these inspiring store leaders were making in their stores, with their teams and in their communitie­s, through really embodying 7-Eleven’s five values.

“I’d like to congratula­te all of the nominees and our winners on their achievemen­ts and deserved recognitio­n,” Mr McKay said.

“My team and I look forward to continuing to work with all our franchisee­s and store managers and celebratin­g the successes we achieve together as a result of our mutual efforts.”
