Red hot genetics on sale
THE Queensland and Northern New South Wales Red Angus Breeders Group is looking forward to hosting the third Queensland Red Angus Power of Red sale next month.
The Red Angus Power of Red sale will be held at 11am on September 9 at the Headingly Sale Complex, Clifton, Queensland.
Sale committee member Kirrily Iseppi, of GK Livestock Dalby, said vendors had put together a high quality run of bulls and females.
The group of seven vendors will be offering 40 industry relevant bulls and will also be cataloguing a solid line of 10 registered females and 20 new and fresh genetic packages.
There are some exciting genetic lots to be offered in the sale this year, including semen packages that are otherwise not available on the open market.
The current strong, interest in the red angus breed, has prompted us to maintain this sale as an annual event.
This sale will enable the group to offer a larger group of quality northern bred red angus cattle to Queensland and northern NSW beef breeders on the one day.
The quality of the offering this year is highlighted by the inclusion of the senior and grand champion red angus female (Lot 40) and the reserve senior champion red angus bull (Lot 2) from the recent Brisbane Royal Show.
The agent for the Power of Red III Sale is Landmark stud stock and the sale will also be live streamed on Elite Livestock Auctions for those interested in bidding, but that can’t make it to the venue on the day.
