Land expo to attract families

IF Toowoomba residents are looking to build a home there is one place they need to be at the weekend.

Colliers International land specialist Brad Lipp is hosting the second House and Land Expo on Saturday near Harvey Norman at 918-922 Ruthven St.

From 9am to 2pm residents can directly compare all the advantages, location benefits and block sizes of key estates in and around Toowoomba.

Attendees will be able to talk directly to quality home, shed and pool builders, lenders and solicitors.

In February, the expo launched as a real estate first in Toowoomba, with a team of businesses coming together to provide a one-stop shop for aspiring builders and home owners.

About 800 people attended the event and six blocks of land were sold by noon.

Mr Lipp, known around Toowoomba as the “land man”, said this expo would be even bigger.

“We have upwards of 30 different businesses taking part this time. My assistant Luca Greenleaf has done an amazing job getting everything together,” he said.

“The idea is that it is a one-stop shop.

“We can help you find a block of land, home, or house and land package.

“We are targeting home buyers, whether it be first-home buyers, those who are up-sizing or downsizing and investors.”

The expo will have a family-friendly atmosphere with live entertainment, free fairy floss, face painting, speciality food vans and Harvey Norman is also hosting a giveaway.

“The beautiful thing is that everyone you will need to talk to is in the one spot for the day, so you can have a chat to everyone involved in the building process,” Mr Lipp said.

“You can spend an hour or two talking to businesses in the industry and then stop and have a bite to eat and enjoy some time with the kids.”

Mr Lipp has been in real estate since 1997 and focusing on land sales since 2015. Last financial year he sold 89% of the land in the Toowoomba region.

“What I love about selling land is seeing the smiles on the faces of the first-home buyers. It’s just a really exciting thing. We make it fun instead of stressful.”
