Harvey Norman helps sick kids
HARVEY Norman Toowoomba continues to help put smiles on sick kids’ faces with their latest, very generous donation to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.
The business contributed $15,000 to the 2017 Triple M Give Me 5 For Kids (GM5FK) Appeal, raised through Harvey Norman’s annual special sale.
The Triple M GM5FK Appeal is a month-long appeal held annually in June, raising much needed funds for the needs of local paediatric patients.
As the beneficiary of Triple M’s GM5FK Appeal, the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is able to direct all of the funds raised towards the needs of the Toowoomba Hospital’s paediatric ward, purchasing vital new equipment.
Funds raised from this year’s appeal will go towards purchasing four paediatric monitoring machines.
Harvey Norman franchisee Russel Sherman said the local Harvey Norman team was proud to again support the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation through its contribution to the 2017 Triple M GM5FK Appeal.
“We live in a wonderful community and we see contributing to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation as a great way of giving back,” Mr Sherman said.
“To be involved with this year’s Triple M Give Me 5 For Kids Appeal has been really special, and knowing that we are able to play a part in putting smiles back on sicks kids’ faces is really important to us.”
Toowoomba Hospital Foundation chief executive officer Alison Kennedy said Harvey Norman’s dedication to the community through its support of the foundation was inspiring.
